    Why Testing?

    Insulating liquids, such as mineral, oil and silicone, are the vital parts of any transformer’s insulating system. In order to maintain safe, proper and efficient operation of the transformer as well as to have the desired and expected output, it is a must for the oil to maintain its original or close to, of its dielectric properties. The condition of the insulation liquid is one of the most important factors in prolonging the lifespan of transformers. Since the insulating liquid behavior/property deteriorates with the use and time, it is of paramount importance for it to be regularly Monitored, Checked, Inspected and Tested, it is through these executions that the source and root cause of deterioration can be revealed, identified and corrected before a catastrophic situation develops such as Transformer failure. It is recommended that an interval of Twelve-Eighteen months between inspections/testing can be enough.
